Plays! Puppies! Popcorn!

During our Reading time, children organised themselves to practise and then present plays. They did a great job and we have some true performers in Room 11!

Taylor and her Mum were so kind and allowed Room 11 to meet their new 6 week old puppies! There were 3 puppies that the children decided to name Toffee, Chocolate and Brownie. We took some photos and will make a class book about the Three Little Puppies that visited Room 11.

What helps us with our writing? Popcorn! We ate some popcorn and used our 5 senses to describe what it is like to eat popcorn. The children came up with some great adjectives and we will put up a Popcorn wall display soon!

Hockey Fun Day

"Yesterday some of us went to hockey fun day and we won all of our games except one. Our first game we versed Elstow-Waihou. The other games were easy because they were little kids." -Michael W

"It was a hard game to play at Hockey fun day. We had to wait for our turn to play. Mum and me had to wait for Charlotte, Bradley, Rocky and Amber and take them home." -Alexis

Junior School Waihi Beach Trip

Just a few snaps from our awesome beach trip last week!

This week has been very busy. Room 11 were lucky to have both Mrs Horan and Mrs Byers in for a whole day while Mrs Valencia attended professional development courses. It was also the week of the Twilight Gala! What a success. 

It was fabulous seeing all of the children have a great time with their families.
